OCALA, FLORIDA—Jan. 7, 2011 - Sun Digital has partnered with the United Way of Marion County to hold their 2nd electronics recycling drive on Saturday, January 15th from 9:00am-1:00pm in Downtown Ocala. Sun Digital hosted its first eRecycle Charity Drive in Dec. 2010. The response from the local community was so positive, that they decided to sponsor the eRecycle Drive on a regular basis. Sun Digital will donate all of its proceeds from the event to the United Way’s Community Care Fund. “The idea of the Dec. 2010 eRecycle Charity Drive started out as an experiment to see if we could generate a large enough response from the local Ocala community, to be able to sponsor additional drives in the future. After the amazing response we received and the money we were able to raise for the United Way of Marion County, we decided that future eRecycle events were a must! We expect a large turn-out for the January event, due to people acquiring new electronic equipment over the holidays and the need to dispose of the old equipment.” explained Jim Bolain, Owner of Sun Digital. For the Jan. 15th eRecycle Drive, Ocala community members will be able to drive up and have their electronic donations unloaded from their vehicle for them, providing a quick and easy way for people to dispose of the unwanted electronic items. Sun Digital has partnered with, Relectrocycle LLC., of Belleview, Florida, for responsible electronics recycling. Relectrocycle provides a free certification of data destruction to all of the community members who require this service.
